An Introduction to the venue

Located on the spectacular Northern Coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, the Victorian Quarry village of Nant Gwrtheyrn is a truly magical location for your wedding celebrations. The 200 acre site is in a secluded wooded valley offering a private  location to enjoy your special occasion with all your family and friends.

Our new function room with sun terrace is an idyllic place for celebrate and enjoy the magnificent sea views with your loved ones.

This room can seat up to 150 for formal dining and cater for 300 guests to enjoy a buffet style dinner.

Guest Accommodation

We have accommodation facilities for up to 96 people.

Guests have the option of staying in our newly refurbished listed quarrymen’s cottages. All our stylish rooms are of 4* standard (Visit Wales group accommodation) with en-suite bathrooms. We also offer some family rooms and four self-catering cottages as an optional wedding package. We offer a friendly, personal service catering for your exact needs to make the whole experience as magical as possible for everyone.

 

Picturesque location

No matter what the season, Nant Gwrtheyrn offers a magical backdrop for all your wedding photographs. With its own private mile long beach overlooking Porthdinllaen Bay, you can take your time to capture those special moments.

 

Exclusivity

We only accept one wedding a day and encourage wedding groups to stay for two nights with sole use of our accommodation and function facilities, so that everyone can completely relax and enjoy the occasion.

Nant Gwrtheyrn is near the village of Llithfaen, which is 4 miles from the A499 arterial road which links Caernarfon and Pwllheli.

 

Directions by rail

The nearest stations are Bangor (30 miles) or Pwllheli (10 miles)

 

Local places of interest

Nant Gwrtheyrn Heritage Centre is a popular attraction with tourists. Many walkers visit the Llyn Peninsula to enjoy the beautiful scenery and many coastal footpaths. While visiting The Nant, take advantage of our private beach and look out for the local wildlife in the bay, such as choughs, wild goats, seals and dolphins.
