Slattery Wedding Cakes


Here at Slattery's, we can create your wedding cake exactly the way you want it to be. Whether you choose a traditional style, contemporary design or a chocolate masterpiece your wedding cake can be a combination of designs or entirely your own creation.

We will be happy to advise you on how to incorporate your wedding colours into your chosen cake design: You may choose to use colour in detailed piping work or subtle brushing on the edges of a frill etc.

Flowers can also be used to bring your scheme together. Either hand made sugar, silks or fresh flowers can be used in your chosen colour and to match the wedding bouquet and flowers.

All of the cake designs can be made using your choice of fillings. You can have a combination of traditional moist fruitcake, rich decadent chocolate cake, light sponge with jam and butter cream or possibly a zingy lemon layer.

Chocolate finished cakes are best complemented with a rich chocolate filling. We will happily use your favourite fillings.

The prices shown with wedding cake are for the cake as shown (usually 3 or 4 tiers) although prices are available on request for 1 or 2 tier cakes.

Chocolate Wedding Cakes

The popularity of chocolate finished wedding cakes has increased dramatically over recent years. These chocolate creations taste as good as they look, and for this reason many couples choose to serve it as their wedding dessert.

The versatility of chocolate means that designs and effects can be created that were never possible using traditional mediums, as you will see from our online catalogue.

All our chocolate wedding cakes are created using the highest quality Belgian chocolate. Most designs can be created in milk, white or dark chocolate or even a combination of different chocolates.

Many people are concerned that chocolate cakes will melt in warm weather, or will be difficult to transport but they are just the same as other cakes. As long as they are not placed in direct sunlight, they will be fine. They do not need to be refrigerated - just keep them at room temperature.
